November 2010
Okabe gives up on saving Kurisu and tries to return to an ordinary university life. He participated in academic activities, met Kurisu's predecessor Maho Hiya Sada and researcher Leskinin, and came into contact with Amadeus, which was constructed from memory data. The familiar voice before him came from the system, and the daily life at the institute was once again shaken.
Amadeus with mobile phones
Okabe became a test user of Amadeus, communicating with the system via smartphone. Incoming call handling in the game affects story branches; Friends also use RINE, developed by Hashida, to keep in touch. The content of the communication serves both as a daily conversation and as an entry point to different event routes.
People who come from the future
Amanin Suzuha stays in this era with future missions. Shiina Kagari is a war orphan adopted by Mayuri Mirai, who once traveled through time with Suzuha but got separated along the way; Yuki Amane is the future wife of Hashida Motomi and Suzuha's mother. The addition of Maho and the research team connects the existing partner network with brain science research.
Production and sound
Chiyomaru Shikura was responsible for planning the original work, huke handled character design, Tatsuya Matsubara served as producer, and Tsuyoshi Abo handled the music. The script is signed by Naotaka Yasumoto, Toru Yasumoto, Masashi Takimoto, and Tsukasa Watsuchiya. Opening theme 'Amadeus' performed by Kanako Yuito, lyrics and composition by Shikura; The ending credits "Liar" were performed by Zwei, with lyrics by Shikura and music by Kosuke Oshima.
Version
The Japanese Xbox One version was released on February 22, 2017. It is released in different batches compared to the 2015 three-platform version; "ELITE" reconstructs the original story, not an animated port of "0."
Secret Diaries and Research Battles (PS Vitamin Main Story, Spoilers)
Inside Amadeus are secret diaries that are difficult to read externally, containing information about the research of the left and right time machines. The so-called divine voice Kagari heard came from Professor Reskinn; She obeyed the voice and gradually realized that his instructions would go wrong.
Maho and Moeyu's Cohabitation (PS Vita branch)
Moe-yu interviewed Maho and later lived with her. When Moe Yu worries about others replacing her job, Maho talks about jobs that can be replaced but that individuals have their own value; The two also started dating RINE through a party.
Proof of Existence: The Automaton Part Two (mutually exclusive ending, spoilers)
When the focus shifts to Maho, Reskinen prepares to delete Amadeus's access program and take her back to Japan, but Reyes kills the professor and demands the control code needed for military use. Meng Yu came to the rescue and was injured; The so-called control code is actually the last line of defense for completely removing the system, with Maho giving execution instructions. Meng Yu fights back, and Amadeus arranges an ambulance before disappearing. A month later, Maho listened to Okabe's explanation and returned to the United States.
2016 Complete Original Soundtrack and Sheet Music
《STEINS; GATE 0 SOUND TRACKS -Complete Edition-" was released on August 24, 2016, catalog number FVCG-1382, with a total of 39 tracks across two CDs. The first disc also includes digital beatmaps and booklet data for "Messenger -piano-" and "Fellowship -piano-." "Messenger" is included as main theme, piano, and OPM arrange; 'Song of the Stars' also has a music box version, while 'Liia' and 'Amadeus' each have independent instrumental tracks.
A vocal recording played by stars
"The Song of the Stars" features lyrics by Eri Sasaki, music composed by MANYO, co-arranged by Ruka and MANIO, game recording performed by Megumi Han, and the original soundtrack credited to the character Kagari Shiina in the complete version.
Vocal version of GATE and acoustic adaptation
The game ENDING "GATE OF STEINER" changes the original theme melody to a vocal piece performed by Eri Sasaki. Lyrics by Chiyomaru Shikura, English lyrics by Eri Sasaki and Seiji Motoyama, music by Tsuyoshi Abo, arrangement by Shinichi Yuki. On August 23, 2017, track 4 of "Period" was re-included in the acoustic version, adapted by Tsuyoshi Abao himself; The 2020 anniversary collection re-releases the original vocal version and this acoustic recording.
Arrangement in the style of the opening track Yoria
The arrangement of "Amadeus" was by Ryohei Arahata. The composition and arrangement of "Raia" are credited to Kosuke Oshima, with lyrics by Chiyomaru Shikura and vocals by Zwei. The original soundtrack separates the two complete vocal tracks from their respective instrumentals, with no vocal credits on the instrumental tracks.
Original soundtrack arrangement for each track
Go Abo was responsible for composing and arranging BGM tracks such as "Messenger -main theme-", "Aug.13, 2036", "First leap", and "Amadeus". "Fellowship -piano-", "Okey-dokey -short-", and "GIRLISH -amusements ver.-" also list his composer/arranger credits; The digital catalog for "Messenger -piano-" only clearly states the composition. The two tracks of the Piano Sonata No. 11 correspond to Mozart's Piano Sonata No. 11 score.
The original source of GIRLISH's song
In her 2016 original sound review, Kaze no Iona pointed out that "GIRLISH -amusements ver.-" is adapted from Tsuyoshi Abo's "CHAOS;" CHILD'. This edition is included together with 'Hoshi no Kanaderu Uta -music box-' as a non-vocal arrangement track.
The music references the original generation
When composing the soundtrack for "0," Abao Gang only referenced the original music from the previous game, excluding the sound system from the anime and the three spin-offs, and instead used variations of old melodies and new songs to connect the two works.
Concrete material for everyday music
After reading the Comima scene, Abao expanded the comedy-style ringtone into 'Easygoing members.' "Okey-dokey" offers a relaxed comedic atmosphere and shortens the simple loop at the beginning for easier performance.
The soundtrack direction for loneliness and bad endings
"Isolation" envisions the unease of Suzuha and Kagari arriving in 1975, as well as the gap between this era and 2036. "The End of Messenger" was created specifically for a bad ending, expressing the image of an unsaved world line gradually converging into despair.
The playlist starts with reading and scene notes
When Abao first composed the music for "0," he reread three novels, jotting down the emotions and uses suitable for each scene as he read, then organizing his own playlist. These notes are also used to determine whether music can be shared in similar scenarios.
There is no question of a microwave attack on the phone
In '0', your partner is attacked by armed forces during a holiday at the research institute. Okabe recalled Mayuri's death in the α timeline, but found that the current timeline lacked a phone and microwave, so he couldn't explain why the research institute was being tracked by SERN as before.
Reconstructing the device and Kagari's memory rescue (antinomy)
α Kurisu rebuilt the telephone microwave and sent Okabe back to β via D-mail. After returning, Kagari regains memories of Kurisu, and Okabe turns to Maho for help.
Yugo repelled the pursuers, Hashida obtained a backup of his memories, and Maho prepared a mobile device to rescue Kagari.
Song Transmission and Substitute Departure (Mother Goose)
Kagari investigates 'Hoshi no Kanaderu Uta' because Mayuri hums a tune, and recovers his memories through his experiences visiting a cemetery. Mayuri originally wanted to encourage Okabe from the past, but in this ending, Kagari acts on her behalf and Suzuha as the starter.
Reason for Staying at Phyllis's Home for Safety (Proof of Existence)
After the office and hotel were searched, Maho and Mengyu moved to Phyllis's house. When the guest room becomes messy, her companions help clean it, and Nao takes on the role of director.
Memories and Data Struggle After 2036 (Oath)
In 2036, Okabe regains old memories and witnesses Ka sacrifice herself protecting her companions, using Maho's device to travel back to 2011. Faced with Reyes's memory download plan, Okabe and Suzuha stall for time, and Hashida deletes the data.
Destruction of research data still does not eliminate the war, so Hashida improves the device and uses the D-Line to transmit information from Okabe to the past.
Roof Attack and Rearrangement (Infinity Point)
After learning of Kurisu's sacrifice, Mayuri talks with Suzuha. Suzuha changes tactics, and the two plan to go back in time to encourage Okabe after the rescue fails. The rooftop attack injured Mayuri, and Kagari fought back for her; After the time machine was attacked, Okabe completed the device and returned to redo the arrangements before the attack.
