The goal of the lunar city and the boy

The story takes place sixteen years after humans began colonizing the lunar surface. Haru, born on the moon, wants to go to a place no one has ever reached, which requires a huge amount of money; The stock market became the path he pursued this goal. The allure of money and the unknown world drives the opening together.

The beginning of the trilogy

In the production notes, Tousa Hasekura positions the series as a financial and youth adventure, with the first part beginning focusing on Haru's ambitions and his encounter with Hagana. The trilogy began with fan releases in 2011 and concluded in 2013; Episode 01: Undertakes the first development of characters and lunar society.

Production and Music

The script and overall production were coordinated by Tosa Hasekura, author of Spice and Wolf, with Spicy Tails as the team. The theme song was produced with the participation of Kishida Kyodan and THE Star ROCKETS. The work tells the stories of people in the financial markets through text, illustrations, and music.

Release and subsequent development

The first Steam version released by Sekai Project was released on May 5, 2014, with the store listing the latter two and three collections. The series was later ported by FURYU to the Nintendo 3DS, and a Dengeki Bunko novel edition was released. In 2019, the production team launched crowdfunding for the animation adaptation, and in June 2020, the promotional video for the animation was released; This promotional video is the result of subsequent planning, separate from the original visual novel.

Encounters in lunar society

Risa lives in a low-income area on the lunar surface, and Hagana lives with her. Chris learned math from Hagana and also helped with the family's sales job. Illegal coffee shop operator Serow, hedge fund investor Burton, and Toyama, who once worked in banking on Earth, each occupy different social positions in this city.

Production of animated promotional videos

The 2020 anime PV was produced by ENISHIYA with support from ROLL2. Shiho Hoshino was responsible for directing, storyboarding, and direction; Tomoshige and Asako Inayoshi served as animation supervisors; Yuki Kurihara was responsible for the music; The theme song "Loosers" was performed by Kishida Kyodan and THE Akejo Rockets. The promotional video uses the animation staff list, which is separately recorded alongside the game's production and voice acting materials.

Script pre-release and paid commissioning

Chapter 1: Production: Write the script until it is nearly complete, then pay to commission a club with experience in finished products, and clearly state that Hasekura holds the final decision-making authority.

Let the images bear the gaze and emotion

The original adds dialogue, leaving some gaze and emotion to visual description, changing the novel's habit of compressing text.

Give up display space for illustrations

Originally used as a display illustration, it was changed from full-screen text to a window; Hasekura also found that novel-style text is harder to read in games.

Retouching the image repeatedly around youthful vibes

The Hagana image was updated five or six times to reflect impressions from recent years, following Hasekura's requirements.
