Reality and the world in the book
He learned that You had lost his memory after the death of his childhood friend Su Lianyan, and regarded others as beasts. Three years later, he entered the Lion Camel Kingdom, which he had rewritten from Journey to the West, and faced the slaughter of demon soldiers. Xiaoyan'er's appearance is similar to her old friend's childhood, but she has a different personality. Her appearance rekindles Fang Zhiyou's will to survive.
Remembering and recalling
The story is divided into two parts: "Record" and "Recollection": the former records the ten days surrounding the city's fall, while the latter revisits events from the fifth to the fifteenth year of Chongzhen. The two timelines together reveal the relationships and memories of the characters, with the fictional experiences of the Lion Camel Kingdom and the historical background of Yangzhou reflecting each other.
Survival choices
Players must plan hiding and escape locations, manage silver and supplies, and decide how to respond to threats. Some choices lead to death, and later on the characters' fates and main endings are also touched upon; The producers listed 450,000 words of non-repetitive text and dozens of death endings.
Connection to 'The Hungry Dead.'
This game continues the late Ming theme from ZeroCreation, including the independent "Liang Sui" arc separate from the main storyline, telling the story after "Hungry Corpse: A Thousand Miles at the End of Ming" and the game's ending timeline. Lin Fangzhou was responsible for the music, with Leng Quan Yeyue as the voice director; The use of historical materials serves as the creative backdrop; the game characters and the demon kingdom remain fictional narratives.
The scholar and an old friend
Fang Zhiyou lost his parents at the age of nine and was adopted by his uncle as a salt merchant. After passing the county-level exam, he gave up the imperial examination and chose to write. Childhood sweetheart Su Lianyan excels in poetry, painting, guqin, and pipa; Her death caused Fang Zhiyou to lose his memory and fall ill. In the world of the book, Xiao Yan'er looks similar to Su Lianyan as a child, but her personality is different.
The Refugees and the Subsequent Chapters
Lin Pianpian had known Fang Zhiyou in her early years, and after Su Lianyan's death, they gradually drifted apart. Lady Qionghua, under the title of Eunuch Wang Lao, aided refugees; When Xia Shiliang saves people, he records the number of people and mentions a woman who is not in the city. The work also has its own independent 'Liang Sui' arc, connecting 'The Hungry Corpse: A Thousand Miles at the End of the Ming Dynasty' and the story after the end of this work.
Production and music positions
Ji Ling served as producer and scriptwriter, Lin Fangzhou handled the main score, Leng Quan Yeyue as the voice director, and UI and promotional work were credited by Box Cat.
