The second part of ef continues the conversation between Yuu and Yuuko, unfolding three stories based on the experiences of Chihiro, Renji, Mizuki, Kuze, and others.
Yuu continued with three paragraphs
The second part directly picks up the conversation from the previous part: Yuu tells Yuuko about the people and events they met during their many years apart, starting with Chihiro. The Steam All-Ages Edition introduces the latter part of the story into three life stories, gradually presenting the emotions and pasts of different characters.
Chihiro's accident and recovery
Chihiro Shindou is Kei's identical twin sister, quiet by nature and fond of literature. A childhood accident caused her to lose her left eye; The second part, the independent character profile, describes her as currently not attending school and seemingly recuperating.
Renji's Migration and Reading
Renji Asou's father was a German architect who lived abroad many times with his father's work but never formed close friendships. At the beginning of the story, the father is away on a business trip, and Renji lives with his mother; He enjoys novels and also uses his overseas education experience to read original works.
Mizuki connects with Kei's predecessors and juniors
Mizuki Hayama belongs to the basketball team of Otowa Academy Connective School. She was once Kei's junior and still regards her as a role model he admires. Through Kei, Mizuki connects with many people at Otowa Academy.
Kuze's Study Abroad and Neighborhood Relations
Shuuichi Kuze attended Otowa Gakuen before leaving to study in Germany, becoming a professional violinist. He lives next door to Renji, interacts with her like an older brother, and is also familiar with Renji's mother, Sumire Asou.
English download version and Steam all-ages version
The English download version of MangaGamer's standalone second part product page record was released on December 20, 2013. The Steam all-ages version was released on October 17, 2019, with the store's language listing an English interface with subtitles and Japanese voice acting.
Two Otowa and chapter space-time
In 2008, player Michiru's PC completion record placed chapters three and four in the Australian replica Otowa series, with the past arc returning to Japan's Otowa series. Chapter 4 is half a year later than Chapter 3, and the arrival of summer in the Southern Hemisphere still takes place around Christmas.
Chapter progression in the English version
The MangaGamer English second part guide starts from the Chihiro chapter, and after completion, you automatically enter the Mizuki Hayama chapter, followed by the final chapter of Yuko; Two other bad endings are listed.
The two songs in the latter part are themed around
The official single lists emotional flutter as the sequel opening and ever forever as the ending theme, preceding the game's release as a single on April 11, 2008. The community PC production sheet also provides lyrics, music arrangement, and vocal divisions for Nobukazu Sakai, Tenmon, and Hitomi Harada.
Japanese Guide: Chihiro's Rejection and Acceptance
The Japanese latter part guides the kiss option as parentheses that can be read as supplementary readings. In the subsequent divergence in Save 01, he chooses to refuse to read the ending between Renji and Chihiro; If you read back to the same file and choose accept, you enter Chapter 3 with a bad ending. The guide also reminds you that when you continue forward, the acceptance option will be automatically selected, leading to a bad ending.
