The mechanical design of "Altes."
According to an interview between Haruki Kashiwakura and Kento Kishigami on 'Artes: Beyond Time,' Kashiwakura selected I-IV based on the goal of compatibility with the LAM character world, and Kishigami contacted them via pixiv. Before the first discussion, I and IV prepared their sketches, and the team exchanged opinions directly based on them. Initially, the mechanical design was rich in detail, but limited by VR performance, he changed it to a more streamlined form at the team's request.
Kashikura relays I-IV's explanation of the mecha design for 'Altes: Beyond Time': The simple and angular armor considers effective sound reflection; For example, the upper hull of the ship considers the possibility of placing the 400-meter hull in water for maintenance and towing. Two concepts were used to explain the simplified mechanical shape.
