On the eve of the disaster

The story is set in 2029, when Japan is thrown into chaos by the outbreak of the unknown virus known as the "Apocalypse virus"; Ten years later, Japan was under GHQ rule. The game focuses on a little-known couple behind the major disaster "Lost Christmas," with a timeline set ten years earlier than the original anime.

Scrooge and Carol

The test subject Scrooge escapes from the research facility and encounters the girl Carol during his escape. Scrooge's right hand is implanted with a special power: touching an ordinary person causes them to become Cancer, but Carol remains unaffected; He can draw alien weapons from Carol's body, and this abnormal relationship becomes the key to their journey.

Scrooge and Carol are both test subjects at the research facility, and they escape together. The power of Scrooge's right hand can crystallize any person touched, but Carol remains unaffected; He can draw out different Void weapons from her body, whereas most people usually have only one Void.

Chasing and ability

According to Nitroplus's synopsis, the two are being hunted by the 'three ghosts' of Past, Present, and Yet to come. The work combines fugitive chase plots with the supernatural powers granted by experiments, using visual novel form to rewrite the story before the catastrophe in the animated worldview.

Triton, rescued on the big island, is the young Yang Shenya; In the game, the Childhood Collection and Triton are voiced by Minami Tsuda and Akino Watanabe, respectively. Her true name becomes the first infected after touching the Origin Stone, and the Christmas Cataclysm is also connected to her.

Another insert song, "Where am I?" was performed by VERTUEUX, with lyrics by Ken1, composed and arranged by HIDEKI. Three tracks are included in the single "Lost Eve."

Selection for the 2012 PC version

Nitroplus created Lost Christmas based on its own PC development experience and player environment. Steel House explained that the adult-oriented program was not continued due to the scope of collaboration among animation actors; Recommendations for those aged 15 and above are determined by the content after production begins.

The prequel's disagreements and time checks

When Steel House wrote "Lost Christmas," he insisted that the Christmas disaster was inevitable, placing different endings on the fate of the two protagonists. The timing of the anime characters' ten-year history, the naturalness of their encounters with the game protagonist, and whether the general machines are beyond the technology of the era are all prequel conditions he needs to coordinate.
