The pilot and the dragon princess
While carrying out a special attack, Ichiro suddenly arrives in a strange desert and meets Yukikaze in his near-death moment. She was originally a princess of the Dragon Kingdom of Arkgene, and after leaving the kingdom, she led the defense militia Baraul. Having been rescued, Ichiro still wants to return to Japan, but first he must find a place to survive and act in this world.
Otherworldly war geography
The large-scale desert is a scar left by the previous war; the oasis supplies distant caravans, while the commercial city Onedal hosts various races and factions. The Principality of Vistula, composed entirely of humans, does not recognize the rights of demi-races and has clashed with dragons, dogs, and others. Ichiro's original aviation knowledge and combat experience thus entered a new war environment.
Production and version presentation
Ryuta Fujisaki, Yuuki Nanao, and others participated in the script, while Akio Watanabe, Fumio, and INO handled key animation and character design. The story is progressed through optional branches. The PS Vita version offers auxiliary features such as reading chapter redirects, log return to specified dialogue, and added color tone adjustments to make the handheld display more similar to the original PC screen.
The pilot's drift
Ichiro was originally a Japanese Navy Second Flying Petty Officer. He lost his parents at a young age and lived for a long time amid the war. After a special attack, he wakes up to find himself in a strange world; After exhausting her stamina after crossing the desert, she was discovered by Yukikaze, who could transform into a flying dragon. Katsuko Makino—the sister of her former partner Tetsuo Makino—remained in Japan.
The Dragon Clan and the Militia
Yukikaze was originally the first princess of Arkgene, and after leaving the country, she established the anarchic territorial defense militia Barawool. The veteran Lin Xin, under the king's orders, continued to look after her; Souken led his subordinates to leave the regular army and join the militia, with his adjutant Nanao assisting him. The Flying Dragon Squad also includes Carmine, Morin, Fran, Eren, and Petra, who lost her transformation ability after being injured.
Canine caravan and mermaid city
The desert caravan Refrelia is led by Fal, who can foresee the future, with Aira serving as vice-captain and captain of the guard. The cat tribe members Curio, Oliver, and several canine members also participate in caravan life. After the mermaid city of Akula was attacked by the principality, its population declined, and the chieftain Noreia was assisted by Meltina and her three maids.
Mining and the Duchy
The dwarf city of Mukal had a mining guild, managed with participation from Mojil and the scholar Haar; The nearby Redoro mine was closed due to toxic gas exposure. The Undead Ria works under the control of sorcerer Ozos. On the other side, Cyrus controls military and political affairs in the Principality of Visra, while Setsuna, Karin, Damon, and Misca serve in different positions.
Continental geography
The Domtoret Desert is a vast wasteland left from the last war, and the Oasis Cordia supplies caravans with supplies. The commercial city Onedal accommodated various ethnic groups, with Barawul outposts in the suburbs. The principality occupied the oil field factory district of Estopria; Irkujika, a neighboring principality, remains neutral.
Characters, Art, and Script
Character design and original artwork were handled by Akio Watanabe, Fumio, and INO, with Mai Nanaka responsible for SD. The script was signed by Ryuta Fujisaki, Yuuka Nanao, Kazuya, and Yuichi Kuwashima; The mechanical design is by MAGNUM and SUDACCI, with background features Kato Tara and MAGNUM, and the logo is designed by Yuki Onachi.
Music and Switch version
Fumiki Matsumoto and Pixelbee provided the BGM. The theme song is performed by Rita, with lyrics by Yuichi Kuwashima and music and arrangement by Fumiki Matsumoto. The Switch version was released on April 11, 2024, supporting Japanese, English text, and Japanese dubbing in languages other than the protagonist.
Switch version: The purpose of heading to the mining town
Ichiro and the others went to Mukal, where the dwarves lived, to obtain bauxite needed for aluminum production. The local mine has been closed, and nearby Redro is also toxic, so you must wear a gas mask to get close.
Switch version: Zero machine gun and aerial assault
Gina = Nagotto refers to the machine gun equipped by Ichiro Zero Fighter and developed Nago-style hardware for Hiryuu. Meanwhile, Vistula's warship Ectus 2 is called the White Catfish by Balaul, launching surprise attacks by dropping zombie soldiers.
