The four seasons meet together
Each of the four stories features a protagonist and a female lead, connecting them through small moments in daily life. The work is divided into chapters by season, and the "spring" in the title corresponds to the new stories added to the collection; the entire work does not take place exclusively in spring.
Haru: Hazuki
The Spring chapter begins with a young man moving to the countryside. He is dissatisfied with reality, yet habitually maintains the status quo; Hazuki, who had just moved in, also struggled to adapt to the new school and life. The two gradually became familiar in a single residence, and their views on the future changed as they spent time together. Hazuki is originally cheerful and lively, but tends to be reserved around strangers and often plays in the protagonist's empty house. She lives with her grandmother, and her parents are often away due to busy work schedules.
Natsumi: Natsumi
The protagonists of the Summer Arc meet in front of a vending machine. Natsumi attends a girls' school and still goes to school during summer vacation for extra classes; She longed for romance stories, but her introverted personality held her back, making it hard for her to take the first step. Years of all-girls school life also made her not good at talking to boys.
Autumn: A girl he encountered by chance
In the autumn chapter, the protagonist sees a TV divination on a day off, saying that helping others will bring good luck, so he goes out to find someone who can assist. He meets a girl who seems to be in trouble, but he makes her angry by talking to her. The girl is proactive, enjoys challenges, enjoys sports and fortune-telling, and sometimes worries alone; Their relationship began with this unfortunate encounter.
Winter: Light snow
The Winter Chapter is about a young man working odd jobs and a young girl named Koyuki meeting on a regular train heading to the countryside. During the journey, the young man recalls his childhood self who believed anything was possible. Xiaoxue is a bit reserved, but also has a stubborn and childish side; She is willing to trust others while insisting on what she truly wants to say and do.
Production with the PS2 version
The PS2 version was released on February 24, 2005, containing four chapters and featuring full voice acting. The screenplay is by Satoshi Kataoka, and character design is by Odawara Hakone and Hachiya. Hazuki is voiced by Mamiko Noto, Natsumi and Koyuki by Hiroko Taguchi, and Akiko Kawamoto by Akiko Kawamoto. The Summer and Winter Editions were previously included on the Fan Disc of Nekoneko Soft; The Spring and Autumn chapters are additional PS2 collections.
The lottery and the wrap-up of the chapter
Qiupian clerk receives a lottery ticket to offset the difference; This young man spent 25 million yen in Shunpin to purchase rural land and a house. In the final chapter of the Spring Chapter, the two members of the Autumn Chapter hand over the Hazuki Castle built with the prize money.
The three sisters from the short story are added
Additional story revealed: Kanna, Natsumi, and Koyuki are the three sisters. 'Natsuyami' is adapted from Natsumi's first-person perspective; 'Kanna Nee-chan' unfolds from the perspective of the eldest sister working in the library.
