Thirteen different goals

Participants hold PDAs marked with playing cards and have a time limit of 72 hours. Each terminal has different conditions; some involve collecting or passing through designated locations, while others depend on the survival status of others. Cooperation helps with action, but hidden goals can conflict, making trust and doubt both survival.

The chapters unfold one by one

The introduction to the home version lists four episodes, and the next one is only available after reading the previous one. Each chapter has its own ending, and the following chapters gradually reveal the overall picture of the game. This version does not have the usual plot options; instead, it builds suspense mainly through the actions and outcomes of characters in different chapters.

Observers' predictions

The BET system allows players to use in-game chips to predict which participants will survive and use the proceeds to unlock bonus content. It offers perspectives beyond reading for observation and speculation. The evolution of the version evolved from the 2006 doujin "Killer Queen" to the PS2, PSP, and 2018 Switch versions; The names and content scopes of different versions should be identified separately.

The situation of the participants

Souichi initially possessed a Type A PDA that required killing the Q holder, while Saki's Q required her to survive until the 71st hour. Their trust was affected by the conflict of conditions from the very beginning. Yuki trusts adult participant Hazuki; Karin seeks a prize for her sick sister. Other participants include university students, receptionists, business owners, and those with combat experience.

Trade-offs in home version production

Nakazawa recalled that the 2008 home version still adjusted CG and text before the master-up; Terazuki also mentioned that the team abandoned the idea of changing character PDAs for each route to avoid making the rules less constrained.
