All became F ~THE PERFECT INSIDER~

"All Become F ~THE PERFECT INSIDER~" is a PlayStation mystery adventure game released by KID on March 28, 2002, adapted from the novel of the same name by Hiroshi Mori. Players follow the perspective of university student Wataru Kiryu, investigating the locked room incident inside the research lab alongside Sohei Saikawa and Moe Nishinozono.

Research institutes on the island

The story is set on Hijima Island in Mikawa Bay, Aichi Prefecture. The Saikawa Laboratory from N University's Department of Architecture travels to the island, where the facility's owner, Shiki Magata, is a programming genius who has long avoided direct contact with outsiders. When the body emerges from the closed room, the computer displays "All become F," and the original plan shifts to an investigation.

Game perspective

In the original, Saikawa and Moe remain at the center of investigation, while the game adds fourth-year student Wataru Kiryu, allowing players to enter the event through his actions. Kiryu met Moe at the Mystery Research Club; she was both a member of the lab and observed the scene with her own deduction habits. The game adds original stories based on the novel's plot.

On both sides of the university and research institute

Xi Chuan is a student of Moe'e's father and once tutored her; Momoko Kunieda serves as an assistant in the laboratory. On the research institute's side, Seiji Shindo is Shiki's uncle and director, Yukihiro Yamane serves as deputy director, Tomihiko Yuminaga is in charge of medical care, and Chikara Mizutani and Fumiko Shimada handle the procedures. Different positions determine the information they possess and their experience entering the facility.

Investigation and response

The gameplay revolves around dialogue, on-site investigations, and items. The Attribute system, released during development, divided the responses after investigating items into three layers, so that investigations of the same subject go beyond the initial description.

Sound

Saikawa, Moe, and Shiki are voiced by Shigeru Shibuya, Sanae Kobayashi, and Satomi Okuro, respectively. The music was composed by Abao Kong; During a KID member discussion, he mentioned that he likes dark music with rhythms and unified the sound atmosphere in this work.

Release and Demo Play

The official title is available for PlayStation. Before its release in March 2002, KID offered a demo for Windows and Mac, with options for downloading with and without voice. These demos do not mean the full PC version has been released.
