From anime magazines to Aonijuku
Mitsu Midorikawa first learned about the voice acting profession through an interview in the magazine "Mobile Suit Gundam," then purchased a radio drama record, gradually hoping to play the lead role in a robot anime. The report from Qingni Juku revealed the specific learning paths for him. After graduating from high school, he went to Tokyo to become a member of the 8th class of Aonijuku Tokyo Campus, training alongside classmates with similar aspirations.
Stress exercises after a failed narration
When he first joined the agency, he was unfamiliar with standard accent and spent time looking up words during narration recordings, which was eventually replaced. After receiving letters from listeners eagerly hoping he would continue performing, he gave up the idea of temporarily taking a break, wrote unfamiliar words, hid the answers, and memorized repeatedly, gradually mastering methods to correct his accent.
Lei Zhangqiao's low-voice performance
When recording the TV anime "Brave Express Might Gaine," Lei Zhangqiao was told by Koichi Chiba to forget his audition style and speak in a low, emotionless tone. At first, he felt it wasn't fully enjoyed, but after listening to the mixing, he understood the effects of the sound and visuals; Later, when playing Rukawa Kaede and Hiro, he also applied this experience.
Let go of the habit of only playing the prince
He had a habit of deliberately showing off while at Qingnijuku, which the head of the school once pointed out. In 2008, Little Busters! launched the online radio show 'Natsume Brothers!' The 'Kyosuke Natsume Q&A' section on the character webpage became a regular feature. Before the first episode was officially recorded, he realized in episode zero that Min'an could catch his jokes, so he felt confident responding improvisationally.
An animated duet with Hoshi
He and Soichiro Hoshi sang the duet "Reason" for the TV anime "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2." Pochi's official 2018 anniversary live report also reviewed this collaboration.
Observation of Improvisation at the Refrain Venue
