The residence and the four sections of the past
"You" wake up in the old house, facing the maid who calls herself the master, unaware of her own identity. The maid guides "you" to watch tragedies that occur in different eras and places, hoping to leave a clue to the search for oneself. This article uses these testimonies to gradually delve into the heart of the mansion and the curse.
Modern Edition
New stories shift the setting to the modern era. Michel manages an apartment in the suburbs of Paris on behalf of her parents and reunites with people she once had contact with; These characters retain memories of their past lives, but remembering the past does not guarantee happiness now. This chapter continues the main chapter and thus contains a revelation of the main storyline's conclusion.
Collected in a collection
The console collection integrates the 2012 main story and the 2015 Another Episode, adding voiced modern episodes, new images, and music. Previously published short stories on websites and magazines were collected in the form of backgrounds, music, and text, with an additional illustration appreciation feature.
Console version
The Collected Edition of PS Vita was released on March 16, 2017; The Japanese PS4 version of Dreams of the Revenants Edition was released on October 24, 2019, and the Switch version on March 25, 2021. The latter two versions redesigned the interface, backgrounds, and some event scenes; The new voice acting is concentrated in the modern arc.
Modern Chapter 9: The Living Conditions of Individuals
Michel was in charge of an apartment in the suburbs of Paris, while Giselle was cheerful and reliable. A girl in a rainy night park refuses to stay calm because of her memories, and the Asian Yukimasa hides a secret; Pauline came to France to study medicine. Fourteen-year-old Nelly, gentle Mel, busy with work, and straightforward Maria each have their own lives in the modern arc.
Modern Edition voice acting and newly added music
Voice acting is only for the modern arc: Giselle Asami Seto, Michelle Takahiro Sakurai, Ami Koshimizu Shoujo, Soichiro Melhoshi, Kana Nari Asumi, Kenichi Suzumura Yukimasa, Aki Toyosaki Bolin, Junichi Suwabe Yaka Ha, Yui Maria Horie. NOVECT labeled 15 tracks of "Reincarnation Original Sound Tracks" as Vita's new soundtrack collection.
Remake and archive reading content
The console collection transforms old web and magazine short stories into content with background and background music, and includes image appreciation. PS4 and Switch remake UI, backgrounds, and some event scenes; official description supports 4K; Release records are kept for Vita's COLLECTED EDITION and the DREAMS OF THE REVENANTS EDITION on the two subsequent platforms.
