According to director Nakazawa Kou in a 2011 interview, when Mitsuhiro Ichiki recorded the original version of "Root Double" for Natsuhiko Amakawa, he asked questions and actively requested re-recordings among the actors. Nakazawa originally thought his initial acting was already good, but after hearing the re-recording, he still agreed that the new performance was better.
