Kaze Planning is connected to the previous work
Shoda Takashi wanted to change his impression of only writing Western mystical stories and instead favor Japanese legends. In the early days, 'Divine Curse Kamui Kagura' only inherited the world of 'Dies irae' and did not feature related characters; The dedication in writing and the response to the previous work gradually strengthened the connection between the two works.
Build characters from weaknesses
In a 2013 interview, Shoda explained that he first considered what the character truly disliked, angered, and felt inferior, then developed through weaknesses, and linked these complexes to the character's abilities.
The sense of the era in the text
To maintain the Japanese-style era feel of "Divine Spell Kamui Kagura," Shoda avoided loanwords and did not use modern time expressions like seconds, minutes, or weeks. The era of Grand Ending has changed, and only then was the ban on loanwords lifted.
