The third eye game

After the second Cyclops serial murder case ends, the online idol A-set, also known as Iris, is drawn into a dangerous game called The Third Eye Game. Meanwhile, a coffin-shaped device appeared in Tokyo, accompanied by a note requesting Psync. Ida relies on the last correspondence with Elise to find her location.

Three survey methods

The investigation part involves Date visiting the scene and questioning people, with Hitomi assisting in analysis; The escape section lets Iris inspect the enclosed room, assemble items, and crack mechanisms; The dream part enters the subject's mental world, following special rules. Three perspectives work together to supplement case information.

Dreams and production

Dream investigation continues with a six-minute limit and Mental Lock mechanism; actions consume time and require judgment of clues. Kazuya Yamada is responsible for directing and writing the screenplay, with Kotaro Uchikoshi participating as director and Keisuke Ito handling the music.

Investigators and technical support

Ida acts as ABIS's Psyncer in the investigation, with Hitomi assisting with his prosthetic eyes and dream images; Hina was responsible for technical support for the Psync device and transitioned to the role of operator. External communication between Iris and Ida connects the investigation and escape parts.

Distribution across different platforms

The Switch, Switch 2, and Steam versions will be released on July 25, 2025, while the PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series versions will be released on February 26, 2026. The work offers Japanese and English audio, as well as Japanese-English, Simplified, and Traditional subtitles; The original soundtrack includes 22 tracks, composed by Keisuke Ito.

Early play: Pod in the freezer

During the early trial, an unknown pod was discovered at the Okinura Seafood frozen warehouse. While assisting in the escape, Date and Hina investigate it, and in the dreams of an unknown entity, they see scenes of Iris being killed during the escape game; This dream connects two investigative leads.

Wink Psync in the investigation

Wink Psync in this game is still in the experimental stage, used by Date and Hitomi Kizuna during investigations to fill in psychological clues that are difficult to obtain through ordinary dialogue.

The discovery of dream rules

The Key Rules in dreams are gradually filled in from blank sentences: first test the movements to find patterns, then proceed according to the complete rules.

Pre-release note for 2025: Dream operator

The official system notes from April 2025 clearly distinguish operators: reality investigations are conducted by Date Key, while the dream part is directly operated by the humanoid Aiba for exploration, not by Ida. Mental Lock and the six-minute limit still bind this dream survey.
