Puzzle mechanics such as ghost possession, object manipulation, and time rewind.

Sissel cannot directly act with a living person's body; instead, she advances the investigation by possessing objects and changing the scene, returning to the past to fix the crisis the characters face.
Mechanics and Tips (Nintendo DS Version)
In the original DS story, Kuneri explains possession and manipulation to Sissel; The audience is limited to other deceased individuals or people they spoke with at the time of their death.
The DS original story rewinds from four minutes before the deceased's death. Souls can only move along the white core for short distances; controlling objects or using the moment a character carries them allows them to change their path. The possession view stops time, and the manipulation must return to reality; Clicking on the Sissel monologue bubble also reads live thoughts.
The original mechanics were decided
Early projects gradually expanded the possession ability from small objects to manipulating living beings and humans. Qiaozhou removed growth and kept only controlling small objects, making the gameplay itself about finding movement paths within the scene.
The retrospective window was originally set three minutes ago, but later Qiaozhou changed it to four minutes; In the interview, he confirmed that this number is also related to the Japanese association of "four" and "death."
Saving and rereading the Nintendo DS version
In the Nintendo DS version, you enter the normal save screen at the end of the chapter, and you can also interrupt saving from the 'Kiok' screen. Interrupt files are restored from the scheduled node; For example, if saved during the device operation four minutes before death, the recovery point may still be the beginning of this rewind or the "fate update" point. "Hajimekara" lets you pick a chapter you've cleared and start from the beginning, while "Tsuzukikara" reads the end of the chapter or interrupts the save.
