Acquaintances and death games
The participants were originally orchestra members, teachers, and companions who went out together, not strangers with no prior contact. After the eleven wake up, they are divided into "guards" and "prisoners." Their existing closeness, misunderstandings, and hidden truths transform into influential factors in the death game. Kazuma is the main perspective at the initial reading; the actions he sees do not match the true thoughts in everyone's heart.
The rules of day and night
During the day, the guards decide on the death or release of a prisoner; At night, murderers hiding among prisoners can target the guards. If the murderer is found and executed, the remaining participants win; If all guards die, the prisoner's side wins. The guards hold strong equipment and management authority, placing the two groups in an unequal position. The rule-making conflict also forces everyone to reassess familiar partners.
People and Associations
Kazuma appears tough on the outside, but his actual personality is more serious and timid than his first impression. Seishiro Shiromoto was his friend from middle school, skilled in science, crafts, and logical thinking; Miko Yukimura hopes to work in nursing and is familiar with emergency response. The older Ayane Saijo excelled at playing, and the founding of the orchestra club was closely tied to her. Ren Yugahara brought his younger brother Yuu to the event, but Yuu was not a member of the high school club; Kurumi Hatoda is an elementary school student who joins the group while out and about.
Select and reverse mode
Players advance the story by reading and making choices, first judging others' intentions based on information Kazuma can access. The secret mode unlocked after the first clearing introduces the inner thoughts and behind-the-scenes actions of other characters, revealing new causes and effects for the same event. The developers incorporated this structure into the planning stage from the script design stage, and reading the true ending also required the information obtained on the second playthrough.
Fragments and the past
Additionally, the provided fragment collection supplements the main story background with each person's past and monologue, serving as additional content. Its purpose differs from the unlocked underground mode: the former supplements character experiences, while the latter changes the reader's understanding of the events before them.
Production and Music
amphibian listed this work as a full-length script following 'Tonshiki Bataフライi' in KEMCO's creative portfolio. Both games use death games as settings, but this installment emphasizes relationships among a group of acquaintances. The official website also provides a digital soundtrack purchase link; The music database lists the soundtrack credited to Takayuki Aihara, and the tracklist includes the theme song of the same name.
Version
The original feature phone was released in 2011 and later ported to smartphones. The official website introduces how to adjust visual, sound, and touch controls for larger screens. The smartphone version was launched in 2012.
