In summer, I met an old acquaintance
The protagonist's relationships with several girls change during the summer. Sayaka Koganei cherishes their childhood memories but does not understand why he later distanced herself; Emi Koenji lives in the same neighborhood, attends the same school and club as him, and often takes the initiative to look after him. Her neighbor, Wakana Toyota, liked painting and habitually called him 'brother'; the two were not related by blood.
The academy and other characters
Misaki Yotsuya is the president of Shirakyu Academy, usually studying at the academy and library. At first, she disliked the protagonist's frivolous attitude. Chika Tachikawa has a gentle personality and enjoys acting and sweet foods. Her father runs a talent production company. Haruka Hino once interned at her alma mater, Hakuhisa Academy, and thus got to know the protagonist; She is an interacting character, not the player's protagonist.
Date arrangements
Dating isn't just about choosing a few conversations in a row: the girl gets tired, hungry, and there are curfews. Meals, sightseeing, entertainment, and gifts should match her preferences and current state; Repeatedly scheduling the same activity can reduce interest. Once the affection reaches a certain level, meaningful dates and designated events must still be completed.
Working and ability
Working part-time also provides dating expenses and skill development. Modeling can improve appearance-related skills, and live house work helps with musical skills; One task may alter multiple values; when some values rise, others may decrease. Players can view changes in the ability chart on mobile devices.
Four towns and mobile terminals
Traveling between towns by train, you can use regular maps or smaller quick maps within the city. After registering the location for your first visit on the mobile terminal, you can select it directly within the same town; The terminal also records personal profiles and date schedules. Appointments are automatically marked; being late, no-showing, or scheduling conflicts can all affect interactions.
Route grouping
The first half of Sayaka and Wakana's storylines are connected and part ways on August 16. Emi and Chika share a club-centered first half of the storyline, splitting up on August 21, featuring events like camping and festivals. Haruka Hino and Misaki Yotsuya each have their own independent paths. The first half focuses on just one person, which may prevent the shared plot from continuing.
Archive and Ending
At the start, there is only one save memory module, which can be collected through character gifts or exploration, totaling nine. The official website distinguishes endings into true and bad endings; In the true ending, the protagonist's abilities will lead to nine different career paths, with different storylines, but no additional CG or strategy completion rates will be added.
Production and First Edition
Shin Otsuki is responsible for planning and supervision, Kazuki Hirota writes the script, Lugosiera is responsible for the key animation, and the brand is PINPAI; The production catalog also lists music participation by MOON and CUBE. The Japanese Windows version was released on May 26, 2000. The first press edition included a game disc and a theme song CD, along with BGM, CG, and event recall features.
