Red and eighteen years of mutation
In the mountains of Kanto, red leaves that continued to grow and fall after autumn appeared, spreading abnormally and slowly becoming commonplace. The ruler changed the era name to Honghe, and the Zhu cult, which worshipped red leaves, emerged among the people. The story begins in the 18th year of the Red War, weaving together local wars, religious beliefs, and supernatural phenomena.
Four groups of characters
Sakura Shino grew up together with Abiko Sosuke, sharing both master-servant and relative-friendly relationships; Shino obtains Murasamemaru after being ambushed during the march. Yakushi Kobungo rescues Genpachi, and the two, commissioned by the Jewel of Misfortune, go to the village to investigate. The female swordsman Hua Ye investigates the extermination of her clan and the stolen sword, seeking help from Daoxue, who is acting on her behalf. Daitsuru, who possesses a brief precognition ability, is confined to Kaede Temple, while Shinbei, who travels around, is familiar with the world outside the temple.
Perspective switching and porting
Players switch between four storylines, completing events based on what different characters see. The Switch version also includes two songs and four short stories after completing the game; These are ports and additions and cannot be considered content that existed from the original Windows version.
Warriors, revenge, and treasured swords
Shino values his subordinates, and Sosuke assists her with archery and a sense of responsibility. The two have been close since childhood. Huaye's family was killed and Iron Slash was taken, so she sought help from Daoxue, a vengeful agent skilled in gunpowder and equipment. Different backgrounds and purposes drive these characters together.
Pharmacists, ninjas, and temples
Yakushi Kobungo was skilled in jujutsu and astrology, managing Sodegaura House; Huan Ba is good at conversation and insists on repaying favors. Dai He, the Great Crane of Feng Temple, was worshipped by the Zhu Sect for a brief period of foresight, but never personally ventured into the outside world. Shinbei travels for a long time, interacting with people from different social classes.
Six songs and Switch bonuses
Switch products include "Blade of Destiny," "Tomobi," "Death Sentence," "Red Ring Flower," "Alliance," and "Flower Words," used for the four-stage OP, individual OP, and ending theme respectively. The new tracks also have special edition CDs, while Shino's short play and two sets of spoiler broadcasts are available as download cards. Sound production was handled by Longsleaper and Solfa.
