The Minazuki family home before the shop opened
The story takes place before Jiaxiang opened La Soleil. The Minazuki family's eldest daughter, Shigure, together with the six cat girls, wake up their owners, prepare meals, clean, and take walks, focusing on a day spent together by family members.
Series position
Vol.0 is a daily side story of NEKOPARA Vol.1. Another prequel, "NEKOPARA Extra," moves the story even earlier, focusing on the experiences of chocolate and vanilla when they first arrive at Minazuki's house.
PC version
Developed by NEKO WORKs and published by Sekai Project, the Steam version was released on August 17, 2015. Offers Japanese dubbing, Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese texts, as well as achievements and cloud archives.
A day in the family day
The time is before Jiaxiang founded La Soleil. Shigure and the six cat sisters wake their owners up, prepare breakfast, clean the house, go out, and cook dinner and rest together. Small daily events form short narratives and do not focus mainly on store business events.
Chocolate and vanilla
Chocolat is chocolate, lively and straightforward, clumsy but hardworking; Vanilla is a vanilla, quiet, intelligent, observant, and very caring for her sisters. The two are the youngest twins in the Minazuki family.
Other cat sisters
Azuki is the eldest sister, straightforward, often seeming lazy but capable at work; Maple is quick-witted, has strong self-esteem, and likes branded items but is afraid of the dark. Cinnamon is laid-back and carefree, caring for his companions; Coconut is physically strong and helpful, but not skilled in meticulous handicrafts.
Auspicious signs and timely rain
Shiyu is Jiaxiang's biological younger sister and the owner of the Cat Sisters, running her own company. Jiaxiang later leaves home to open a shop, and the siblings' family relationship with the cats continues to connect with the dim sum shop life described in the main story.
Compared to Extra
NEKOPARA Extra goes back about half a year, telling the Christmas when chocolate and vanilla first arrived at Minazuki's home. Vol.0 depicts the daily life of everyone living together shortly before the store opened, with two prequels set differently.
