From the soundtrack to the song
"AIR Original SoundTrack" included "Summer Shadow" as track 4 on the first album; The KEY+LIA single clearly states that the included version is a vocal adaptation of this BGM. The instrumental and vocal versions share the track title, but are recorded differently.
Included as a single
"Natukage / nostalgia" consists of "Summer Shadow" and the new vocal song "nostalgia," performed by Lia. The single "AIR," released earlier than the 2002 public sale, cannot be used to infer the melody's first appearance based on the release date.
