Characters and relationships

The story is narrated by three women. Designer Mizuno Sachiko once left Tokyo for work and later co-founded a design company with her childhood friend Takako; She is troubled by hallucinations from her former lover. Psychiatrist Narasaki Hibiki, Sachiko's elementary school classmate, began treating her after learning she was experiencing hallucinations. Takako is both Sachiko's childhood friend and former lover, and is gradually losing memories of their past.

The three perspectives each unfold in different life situations, yet together they question how to distinguish between facts and illusions in memory. The work places suspense within the characters' understanding of their own lives, and the histories of relationships between characters gradually piece together through different narratives. The Steam Store has called it a psychological suspense visual novel told from the perspectives of three characters.

The radio drama uses a different sound expression style from the original.

The original production process

hide38's Sachiko and Takaho four-panel comic marked the starting point for SeaBed, and AKIRA wanted to continue reading the characters' experiences, prompting him to integrate the scattered stories. Early development considered dialogue options, chronological character viewpoints, and randomly generated text, but these were eventually removed, focusing on a fixed story.

During the original development, hide38 asked AKIRA to verify whether the character images matched the dialogue and the images themselves, and based on feedback, they refined the newly added Narasaki and Nanae. AKIRA also collects and organizes a large amount of images and audio materials, then arranges character portraits, backgrounds, music, and sound effects according to each scene; He controls attention through dialogue pauses, expressions, and sound effects, deepens the impression of the scene with background music, and avoids extra audiovisual information distracting the reader.
