Dark Street and Inferno
Gang leaders are repeatedly assassinated, and news spreads underground about the mysterious organization Inferno and its strongest assassin, Phantom. A boy traveling alone in the United States accidentally encounters the killer and discovers that the killer is a girl about his age. After losing his original memories, the boy is brought into the organization, and the story shifts from a chance encounter to training, missions, and organizational conspiracies.
The boy and Ein
Phantom's codename is Ein. She trains amnesiac youths to learn assassination techniques; The boy gradually grows into an assassin who can work alongside her, and the two bond in a cruel and chaotic world. The official synopsis centers on the relationship between the two, their loyalty, and the conspiracies within the organization, set against a noir cinematic world centered on an American crime syndicate.
Narrative form and tone
This work is a visual novel in the style of a noir film, using a continuous narrative to depict training and action, focusing on the intertwining of character relationships and organizational conspiracies. The story backdrop for two young assassins, the boy and Ein, are the protagonist and the protagonist of the amnesia.
Original and remastered versions
In 2000, Nitroplus released "Phantom -PHANTOM OF INFERNO-" as its debut title. Nitroplus's official page records that its Xbox 360 version is fully voiced; The official NITRO ARCHIVE page states that the Steam version is a port based on the Windows version released on August 30, 2013, with no changes to the game content. An assassin who has lost his memory
After witnessing Phantom's actions, Reiji Azuma tried to escape. His instincts were seen as talented, and the organization trained him to become an assassin. Under Professor Seth's brainwashing, Ein also lost her past memories and was assigned to train Reiji. The two gradually became assassins who could work side by side.
Inferno's power relations
Young gangster leaders allied across races and nationalities attempt to take control of the underworld. Top executive Raymond and Isaac of Los Angeles are at the top; Crotia was worried about Seth's promotion, so she secretly tried to recruit Reiji. Her subordinate Liz values loyalty but shows little interest in power intrigue.
Karl and the Japanese School
Reiji meets Carl in the slums, and she becomes embroiled in danger due to his mistakes. He protects her under the pretense of accepting disciples and lives with her. After arriving in Japan, Reiji became Mio Fujieda's classmate; Mio's unknown origins connect school life with the world of violence.
