Singing and secrets
Every night, the prince went to the forest to listen to the wolves' songs, but never saw the singer clearly. The wolf, fearing his true self would be exposed, tried to cover the prince's eyes, but his claws injured him and caused him to lose sight. The prince is then imprisoned, and the wolf decides to bring him out and ask the witch to cure his eyes.
Two identities
The wolf handed over his beloved song and gained the form of a girl who could touch the prince without harming him. She claims to be a princess from a neighboring country and sets out on a journey with the prince; The prince trusts this companion, unaware that she is the monster who once hurt him.
The witch's exchange
The Forest Witch demands the most precious items exchanged for wishes and turns the price collected into crystallized collections. The journey revolves around restoring her sight while forcing the princess to confront her lies and sacrifices while hiding the truth.
Form and music
The game adopts a two-dimensional side-scrolling action-adventure format. Akiko Shikata's theme song of the same name, 'Moonlit Night Music Concert,' was later included in the concept album released on April 15, 2021; The album also includes new songs themed around scenes and the moods of the characters.
2018 Console Edition: Switch forms and hold hands
Wolf form can jump to high places, clear obstacles, and repel monsters; The girl form can slip through narrow spaces, operate mechanisms, and pick flowers. The prince cannot walk the long road alone and needs a girl to hold hands and lead, protecting and cooperating, thus requiring him to switch forms along the way.
2018 Console Edition: Revisit levels and side quests
The game allows you to skip levels and continue reading the story. Cleared levels can be challenged again to earn items that unlock side quests.
2018 Console Edition: Hand-drawn and Reading
Characters, levels, and interfaces are heavily hand-painted, with forests rendered with cross-line shadows and multiple scrolls for depth. The book-flipping performance during the event is accompanied by voice actor readings, continuing the picture book reading style.
Production of the ending theme song
The ending theme song "Moonlit Night Music Concert" was written, composed, and arranged by Akiko Shikata, who also performed both vocals and chorus.
