Cat Ear Action discussed with the developers
In 2017, when reviewing the production of "NEKOPARA," Sayori said that after deciding to let the cat's ears move emotionally, she consulted E-mote's developer M2 to discuss how to make the movements cute. Character movements are defined by the original artist and then refined in collaboration with tool developers.
Arrangement of short-shot CG
In the same interview, Sayori suggested that even if the screen only appears for one second, CG can still be added to the scene. She believed that players could later view each image equally in the appreciation room, and that a brief appearance would not diminish the value of the illustrations, so she was willing to continue adding images for use in the script.
Communication between phone scripts and cat ear settings
Looking back at the early production of "NEKOPARA," Sayori said that the scripts Sekijin submitted included headphones or phone movements, and the two discussed the position of the call. This discussion focused on her insistence on functional cat ears and the setting of not drawing human ears.
The clothing details require a family setting
Sayori hopes the cat sisters in "NEKOPARA" can wear a variety of cute clothes, so the concept of wealth is adopted. She even used the multiple ribbons on her head in her pajamas as a costume for this outfit.
Project Connections and Script Direction
Around April 2014, after a break from production, Seolin contacted Sayori again, and the two launched a game-based adaptation of "NEKOPARA," aiming for a year-end doujin event. After sales expanded, Xueren asked if she wanted to continue with the original script; Sayori recommends continuing to create according to the approved preferences.
