The soundtrack collaboration and sound arrangement of "ALTDEUS."
In a 2020 interview, Yosuke Kori recalled that when discussing "ALTDEUS" with Haruki Kashiwakura, the team wanted to use more music than "Tokyo Chronos." The new script is about three times the size of the previous one, and he also handles voice recording. He commissioned Kuniyuki Takahashi to compose ten pieces focusing on the main scenes and character drama.
To match the player's progression rhythm with the music, Jun carefully considered the timing of controller selections, adjusting volume, rhythm, and the timing of transitions from ambient sounds to the music.
In early mech battles, beam launches, music climax starting points, and video rhythms were not aligned. Jun wanted to preserve Takahashi's musical effect and, after discussing with the director, cut the lines according to the music; When commissioning, it is also required to set a musical pause at the beam launch position. During the demo, Takahashi found that the scenes indeed progressed in the chronological order of the music.
For the adventure segment, Jun arranges music according to the background and timing of the dialogue. He adjusted the balance and playback of the tracks so that the next movement could connect with the previous one's emotions, especially putting great effort into the presentation scene.
Jun also prepares theme songs based on the emotional ending of each ending, allowing the ending music to change according to the story's focus.
