Rewrite English lyrics based on the theme
Asaka wrote English lyrics from scratch based on the Japanese version's themes and keywords, combined with the anime world she already knew and her own story. She emphasized in the interview that this is not a literal translation.
Each track is credited with English ending images
This version was composed by Haggy Rock, arranged by Shinichi Yuki, with English lyrics credited to Asaka. The data area for ISLAND specification USSW-0113 also includes special animated ED images replaced with the English version.
Perspective and word arrangement
Asaka switches the narrative perspective between the first and second paragraphs, using Rinne and Kirina as references to imagine their feelings and experiences. She retained the English parts already present in the Japanese version, then rewrote the rest of the words to match the melody; She recalled that coordinating the pronunciation and rhythm division between the two languages is a painstaking part of writing.
Singing voice different from the Japanese version
She views the English version as another form of expression, starting with the loneliness and sadness of a girl searching for a boy, and believes her voice quality has become softer, with her singing performance different from the Japanese version.
