Masumi Town and Time Capsule

The story begins with the time capsule planted ten years ago about to open. The protagonist, Mugi Hayakawa, and his sister Rikka head north to Masumi Town; Strong winds and large windmills create local living conditions. While waiting for the agreed day, the siblings temporarily stayed in town, while Mai interacted with the residents and experienced a slow rural life.

A notable figure of the town

The cast includes Aino Souhane, who repairs windmills and tries to fly homemade airplanes; Hisai Usuyuki, who lives and draws maps at the observatory; Koei Shirato, a postman; and Jubika Tsujikura, who tends crops in the wheat fields. As Mugi's sister, Rokka travels alongside, and the work and daily lives of the townspeople together form the story's social network.

Wind and coexist with the living

Key's official website lists wind, windmills, experience, wisdom, and people-to-people connections as the fulcrum of town life. Mugi interacts with townspeople and experiences the slow pace of life in Masumi Town while waiting for the time capsule to open.

Release and production

The game will be released on April 24, 2026. Produced by the signature script supervisor Kai, with scripts written by Kai, Niijima Yu, Hasama, and Sayuki Jun; The original artwork is by Na-Ga, Fumuyun, Yunon Nagayama, and Aoi Kimishima, with music producer Shinji Orito.

Masumi Town and the old agreement

The time capsule planted ten years ago is about to open, and Mugi and Rokka head north to Masumi Town. Here, strong winds blow through the wheat fields, and residents rely on windmills, technology, and mutual help to sustain their lives. Makoto temporarily stays at school and, while waiting for the appointed date, gradually gets to know the townspeople.

Wheat fields, repairs, maps, and postal services

Jubihua lives in a trailer house outside town, tending to the wheat fields, baking pizza, and playing the grass flute at night; Aina is responsible for repairing windmills and also trying to build airplanes. Yang Cai searches for beautiful things and records maps at the observatory, while Xiao Yong runs the town's only postal work, paying respects to her grandfather every day before sending letters. The lives of four people bring travelers into different everyday spaces.

Siblings and the local residents

Rokka temporarily went to the kindergarten to take care of the child and even recorded the choice of future partner for her brother. Tsuzura from the library café, Fumiya from the town hall, Children's Council President Narui, and archaeological traveler Kurumi each participate in town activities. Aino lives with her father Minato in the workshop; Mai also competes in speed with motorcycle enthusiast Chiharu.

Character design and voice acting

Na-Ga is responsible for characters like Mai, Rokka, and Zhu Bihua; Kimishima Ao: responsible for Aino, Minato, Fumiya, etc.; Fumuyun in charge: Yangsai, Tsuzura, Chiharu Yoken; Yuunon Nagayama is in charge of Koyo, Rui, and Kurumi. The original artwork for Tsumire the Sea Crow was also signed by Mochisuke. Voiced by Sohei Makoto Kane, only some segments feature the protagonist's voice.

Music and soundtrack

The opening theme features ASCA singing, lyrics by Sakigake, music by Shinji Orito, and arrangement by Toshihiko Uchiyama; The ending credits feature 'Goldenfield' performed and arranged by FHÁNA, with lyrics by Yu Niijima and music by Shuhei Ohashi. On July 29, 2026, three discs with 63 tracks were released, each featuring the full theme song and a short version of the game.

Production and distribution

Qiu Ye Ta also served as producer, Sayuki Jun as director, and Kui as coordinator of the script. The main script was also written by Yuu Niijima and Hasama, with supporting scriptwriters Ichigi and Renka Hino. The Windows version will be released on April 24, 2026, with the official recommended age at E15, meaning 15 and above.

Follow-up Family (Spoilers)

The official supplementary character Honoka is the only daughter of Mugi and Jubika, raised under the care of the residents of Masumi Town. She is voiced by Miumi Tanaka, with original artwork by Na-Ga; This character identity belongs to the later story.

The choice between the final route and the demo version

In an interview published in April 2026, Kui explained that script integration should weave the female leads' routes through a common theme, connect to the final route, and echo the protagonist's monologue in the prologue. The demo version first reveals changes in the worldview, leaving deeper surprises for the later story.

Collaborative formation of uniform schemes

Fumuyun's 2023 development diary records: the uniform starts from the foundation proposed by Fumuyun, was modified by Na-Ga, and then returned to Fumuyun for improvement; Creating and incorporating feedback from color staff on color schemes. Each key animator also added and changed according to the character, and the revealed costumes were the result of the adjustments.

Preparation process

During the production of "anemoi," due to scheduling conflicts with the original animator, Kui invited Aoi Kimishima to participate in the original artwork. Kui would request sketches in the morning and receive drafts by evening, while Zuo Xuejun would receive revisions within about two hours; The artist offers different options for short, long, straight, and curly hair. Xiao Yong's story was added after Sayuki's application and the producer's permission, increasing the number of main female leads from four to five, and the number of images accordingly increased.

The high-speed rock-paper-scissors and machine gun tongue twisters in "anemoi" naturally lead out of the characters' conversations. To increase interaction between less interactive characters, Sayuki prepared eight options and filtered out the more easily feasible mini-games according to the development cycle. Kui also recalled that the original draft of the prologue did not include a disaster description, but later revealed the premise of the post-disaster world in advance, making the subsequent twists more focused on the heroine's experiences.
