Young Kaito listens to his research and is determined to collaborate with him; Yuma was also Kaito's mentor during his youth.
The identity in the conceptual diagram of the daydream
CASE0 Due to a breakup with Kaito due to virtual space research, he forcibly took Senagi away and received materials from Kaito's lab, artificially erasing Unagi's self. After the immigrants kept seeing the same dreams, he sought help from Kaito. In the final scene, Kaito tells him he will never forgive him, but no longer harbors hatred.
CASE0 (2020 original edition)
In the 2020 original CASE0 youth segment, after Kaito and Senagi leave home without merging, Yuma explains Senagi's past family situation to Kaito. Kaito then went to Senagi's former home to listen to her continue explaining.
