In 'Second Story ~Summer of Girls and 15 Minutes of Memories~', Meron Umineko is responsible for writing the in-game novel.

Early game planning and supplementation

Meron Uminekozawa recalled in an early interview he edited and republished in 2019 that the project "Puni☆Fugo~" submitted by acquaintances was approved through the meeting. He focused on the 'Millionaire' as the game's content; the original concept had no script, and only at the request was he added the script.

Novel adaptation and illustration commission

The adaptation of 'Samaki Ki-shiki Last Resort' was originally outlined by another author, but Uminekosawa later decided to write it himself, considering how the work would differ from the original game's comedic style. He completed the design and DTP himself, unwilling to directly use the game's packaging artwork, so he contacted an artist. After meeting Oni no Jin and submitting the novel manuscript, the original cover illustration was expanded to include the book's illustrations.

An experiment in novel layout

Uminekosawa regards novels as a medium through which manga can be borrowed, incorporating onomatopoeic text into the layout; 《スレイヤーズ！ The changes in the font of '》 and the mechanisms he observed during his involvement in picture book guide work also inspired the typesetting experiments of 'Samaki Ki-style Last Resort.'
