From card trading to game development
At a 2020 brand representative forum, Ryuichiro Yamakawa recalled that Frontwing initially handled the import and export of card games, while video game development started out of interest. He also explained his production direction by "collaborating with authors to make games": project conception is not limited to a fixed script or art-driven model, but is arranged around the participating creators.
First, finalize the gray project for the original artwork
Looking back at the production of "The Gray Fruit," Yamakawa explained that the project first decided to have Akio Watanabe and Fumio serve as key artists, aiming to create the company's representative works, and then considered a story direction suitable for both artists. The script lineup was later finalized as Nachi Kio, Ryuta Fujisaki, and Kazuya, with Yuichi Kuwashima joining later.
