Invitation to the 'Shibuya Isolation' project
When the Tokyo Chronos project began, Kyohei Koyama had already prepared several novel proposals. He originally wanted to keep the world setting and write a new story, but later switched to Satoshi Kamiya's past. Kento Kishigami demanded that the novel go beyond mere fan products and possess the strength of independent works. Based on this, Koyama began organizing the project for "Shibuya Isolation: Tokyo Chronos."
Novel structure and character additions
When writing "Shibuya Isolation: Tokyo Chronos," Koyama borrowed the story framework from multiple myths, incorporated structures of mystery and death games, and organized it in a dramatic form, emphasizing the novel's completeness as a standalone story. The original plan allowed ten-year-old Kamiya to win the closed-space election alone, but Koyama felt it was not credible enough and added his brother Ie Kamiya; Only after sending the setup to shore and receiving confirmation did we determine the direction.
