Stop the chase incident
The story is set in October 2015, when Shibuya is experiencing the "madness of a new era" event. However, Takuryu, the head of the news department, finds the case dull and is unwilling to continue the investigation. He was immersed in the desire to be "present," while vaguely doubting whether it was really 2015.
The news department and old acquaintances
Serika Onoue is Takuru's childhood friend who understands him. Nono Kurusu has lived with him in a care facility and serves as deputy head of the news department. Heads of the arts department, such as Hinae Arimura, also interact with the news department, and these existing relationships form the basis for romance and fantasy plots.
Two trigger systems
The game continues to use delusional triggers, allowing players to choose positive or negative imagination, view different scenes, and influence subsequent storylines. Added YES/NO questionnaire-style trigger, allowing users to change branches by choosing one of two answers, and the format is derived from the magazine surveys favored by Tuoliu.
Release and reading order
5pb. was released for PS4 and PS Vita on March 30, 2017. Takuru is voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Serika by Sumire Uesaka, and Nono by Breedcart Sera Megumi. The work directly uses the characters and suspenseful premise established in this story, and the joyful atmosphere at the beginning remains similar to that of 'CHAOS;' CHILD'.
Members and daily news
The student council proposed cutting the journalism department's funding, prompting Takuryu to work hard to maintain club activities. Hua is the only first-year student in the department who likes to use shared computers to play online games; Shinji is Takuru's classmate and friend. Hinae, the head of the arts department, often visits the news department, Rio Kuno is a new transfer student who almost never comes to school, and Uki Yamazoe is not good with phones or computers. The official website also lists a girl whose identity and voice call have not been disclosed.
Theme song
"Irrational and Irreversible Assumptions" performed by Afilia Saga. It corresponds to the 2017 film "CHAOS;" CHILD らぶchu☆chu!! "" and the theme songs of each ported version of this work are recorded separately.
Early divergences and questionnaire concepts
LCC is shorter than this article but enters the character branch earlier. YES/NO triggers visualize diagnostic questionnaires; Shikura recalls that this idea was already present in the original "CHAOS;" HEAD' was proposed in the project, but it was only realized in this work.
Style experimentation with the ending theme
Chiyomaru Shikura wrote 'Lucifer of Crime' into a song suited to FES's style, yet sung by Iketeru Hearts, attempting to combine the two vocal styles.
