Original songs and singers start out
Yuiko Ohara has been exposed to electronic keyboard, violin, and guitar since childhood. When she first participated in auditions in high school, she was drawn to original songs and began her career as a singer-songwriter. On October 7, 2015, she made her mainstream debut with the theme song "Magic Parade" from the film "Little Witch Academia: Magic Parade."
Creating around the theme of the second season
While composing the theme song "Zero Senchimi" for the anime "Teasing Takagi-kun 2," Ohara first learned about the theme running throughout the second season and wrote it accordingly. She wanted the song to be easier to sing, so she chose simpler melodies to improve singability.
Convey the direction to the arranger
For arrangement, she suggested a sweet style with a hint of sourness but not excessive sadness to Yoshida Jo, and gave him a reference song.
A more mature singing style than the previous work
During recording, she still retained the feeling she had when performing "Takagi-san," while adopting a more mature vocal style compared to her previous work.
Recording and live expression perspectives
She also distinguishes between recording and live performance: during recording, she imagines Takagi, while in solo performances, she tends to convey the lyrics as her own; Animation events also vary depending on the occasion.
