Narcissus 2

A sequel to the written novel produced by Stage Nana, set about six to seven years before the original work. Fifteen-year-old Setsumi meets Himeko, who used to help on the seventh floor and is now a patient, at the hospital, and the two spend a summer together.

Six to seven years ago

The official introduction of Stage Nana places SIDE 2nd about six to seven years before the story of the first game. In the summer, 15-year-old Setsumi is still a regular outpatient living at home; During a hospital checkup, she met Himeko, who had previously worked as an assistant on the seventh floor. Himeko later became a patient in the same ward, and thus began a summer story between them.

Release and compilation

The original site registration web version was released in May 2007. In 2010, the PSP collection "Narcissus ~If There Is Tomorrow~" included SIDE 2nd and the first and third titles, distributed by Kadokawa Shoten × HOBIBOX. Steam later offers the free collection of 'Narcissu 1st & 2nd', developed by stage-nana and published by Sekai Project.

In the original character profile, Himeko is 23 years old, and her younger sister Chihiro is a 21-year-old university student; Himeko's longtime friend, Yuka Akishima, is also 23 years old. At 15, Setsumi still mainly had outpatient checkups, and her mother was cheerful and understanding. Himeko used to care for an 8-year-old girl on the seventh floor.

Helpers and residents on the seventh floor

The author placed 7F in the hospice ward of a Catholic hospital, where residents have unique rules for passing down the ward. Himeko goes from volunteering helper to patient, while Chihiro continues to provide volunteer assistance; Himeko's old relationship with that girl makes the changing identities of helpers and those cared for an important link in this story.

Second-generation CD and digital soundtrack

The author registered the May 2007 CD version as stage-nana Vol.25, consisting of two CD-ROMs: the first was a GAME, the second was an original soundtrack; the game itself was the same as the web version, bundled with the first title. The 2014 digital original sound for the 2014 distributor "Narcissus" is clearly credited to eufonius for vocals, with lyrics by riya and composition by Kikuchi.

15cm post-release album credit

In 2010, the PSP vocal disc clearly marked "15cm" as the second track on narcissu side, with lyrics by Takashi (Σ-sigma-), composition and arrangement by sin (Σ-sigma-), and vocals by KAKO. The 10th anniversary soundtrack continued to include "15cm," along with tracks like "South-Facing Window" and "Swallowing Lies."
