Seeking someone entrusted to him

After leaving the police force, Shugo Takagi stayed in Ueno at Yukishiro and was investigated by his former boss, Kazuma Arishima. He was searching for Yura Tsukimi, who had once dated him. Yura's younger sister Kazuna hopes to find her sister, but their father Keiichirou insists Yura is already dead; Conflicting family statements became the starting point of the case.

A character from Ueno

Qiuwu's younger sister, Qiqi, is also investigating a serial murder case. He managed the snow-white Amezuku and looked after Hatsune and Rin from Akigo, keeping his residence and the investigation scene connected; His old friend Fuyufumi Aoki belongs to another faction, known as the "Death Wrist." As the investigation progresses, the police, theater troupe, and school members gradually unite into the same case.

Narrative and operation

The main storyline changes the characters' fate through choices. When switching to other characters' perspectives, the scene is arranged in a vertical novel format, adding things Qiu Wu does not yet know. The Switch version offers read redirects, reverting from message history, rewinding read, and up to 200 save locations, with independent adjustment of touchscreen and character voice settings.

Included in the edition

This title was released on Switch on February 5, 2026, based on the 2023 REBIRTH FHD SIZE EDITION, and includes the 2005 main story and the epilogue 'Sakurament,' originally included in the 2007 'Kami Hako'. The three texts in Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese are paired with full Japanese audio, and the protagonist also has voice acting. The limited edition also includes an epilogue and an art book.

Production and songs

The original artwork was handled by Sugina Mizuki, with script credits to Miya Suzuka and original scriptwriter Kazuhiko Iida, and music by MANYO. The opening theme "Koiku" is performed by Haruka Shimotsuki, with lyrics by Rokuurakan and music by MANIO, with Haruka Shimotsuki and Marie providing backing vocals.

The connection between the academy and the theater troupe

Qiqi and Louzi are classmates; Kaoru Fukami teaches at their Catholic academy. Wana pursued a career in the stage, while Ikuma Akao was the art director of his theater troupe, and he had a workshop at home. The schools and theater troupes involved in the case therefore have direct contact with Qiu Wu's relatives and friends.

Yura's isolation and obsession

Yura was isolated by her family as a child, and Shugo's acceptance became an important early social connection. After parting ways with Qiu Wu, she experiences research facilities and the life of being revered as the cult leader; Her obsession with Shugo is accompanied by her fear of loneliness and being abandoned, and also involves her conflicts with her twin sister Kazuna.

The family outcome of the Switch post-story story

Sacramento continues the endings of different characters. Wana's True End shows that she and Akigo are already married and have a daughter; Yura's "Umi no Hikari" revolves around trusting Akigo and accepting children, ending with a focus on his daughter's future.
