Huck and Kuon
When she wakes up, the young man who doesn't remember her identity is saved by Kuon and named her Huck. Jiuyuan is a lone traveling pharmacist, knowledgeable in wilderness and medicine; Huck is not skilled in manual labor, but is skilled at observation and thinking. Their journey into Yamato introduces them to the Guard Corps, local royalty, and the imperial capital's soldiers.
A companion on the journey
Lulutiye accompanied the tribute envoy to the imperial capital, with Ukon leading the guards and Maruru accompanying him as a scholar.
