Copying issues and handling of C86 partial drives
According to a 2014 announcement from Chaoshuidao, some discs of the standard edition of the C86 were mistakenly converted to AAC by software when copying, originally from uncompressed WAV sources.
The team stated that the disc possibly containing the copy error had been destroyed and is currently checking to remake the audio CD using the correct WAV; Replacing discs does not require proof of sound quality degradation first, and a free high-resolution version is included.
