First comes the theme of the work, then the use of the scene

Abao just recalled that after reading 'STEINS;' After the story of 'GATE,' it was first written as 'GATE OF STEINER.' At first, there was no specific scene for it to be played; instead, I wanted to write a song that would first express the theme of the entire work.

"GATE OF STEINER 10th Anniversary" (USSW-0240) first CD track 1 is listed as "GATE OF STEINER."

Fear and changing the future in the theme

Abao Gang placed the imagery from the first half of the original game "GATE OF STEINER" on gel bananas and the fear of being chased by SERN, while the second half shifts to crossing worldlines and changing the future. In his 2015 retrospective, he explained that this development places themes of fate, fate, and chosen paths into the same piece, giving it different impressions as the story progresses.

Develop other soundtracks from the theme

The original game's music continues from the previously written "GATE OF STEINER." Abao explained that he created other BGM based on this theme, incorporating key parts of the story into the connections between the soundtracks.

The theme from the ZERO trailer continues

Abaogang is the author of 'STEINS;' The first teaser video released for 'GATE 0' rearranged this theme into 'SG0 preview'. This adaptation places the original melody into the ZERO universe and includes track 16 of the 2016 complete soundtrack second CD.

A visual reference and introduction to the main theme

When Abo Gang created the original game's main theme, he also used Huke's illustration "Huke Pi 05" as material, using the visual world and the causality of time jumps as the basis for the introductory arpeggio. The producer also required the theme phrase to appear multiple times in the piece, hoping to form a sound marker for the work.
