"We Are*" (Love in 2026) is a sci-fi romance adventure game developed by KID. Set in the war-torn Tokyo Bay region in 2026, Yuya Ayase meets her superpowered classmate Asaka Ten. What was once an ordinary summer vacation is changed by an upcoming conscription.

Recruitment at the end of the holiday
On the night the semester ended, Yuya saved Ten, who was attempting suicide. She possesses precognition and already knows she will be conscripted as an ESP weapon tester after summer vacation, envisioning a future from which she cannot return. Yuya took her back to her place, and the two began spending this vacation together with a clear deadline.
Superpowers and everyday life
Yuya then discovered that he had also awakened ESP abilities, and if exposed, he might also be conscripted. The work places the interactions between campus, residence, and friends under the shadow of war: for the characters, special abilities not only bring strength but may also allow personal lives to be taken over by military use.
Characters and the form of the work
Ten is voiced by Mikako Takahashi, with the surrounding ensemble formed by Kikuna Kami, Yuzuka Kumano, Shinin Fuefuki, Kaede Inashiki, and Karen Fujioka. The original game was released for PS2 in 2006, with later Chinese PC releases. The asterisk in the title is part of the work's identification, and in Chinese, subtitles often emphasize the year the story takes place.
War and everyday relationships
The story of Tokyo in 2026 places summer living together against the backdrop of ongoing war and the requisition of ESP users. Asaka Ten has the ability to foresee the future, shares the same class as Yuya, and begins living together; Yuzuka was also a classmate. Kikuna and Yuya are childhood friends; Inashiki Yukie is both their aunt's relative and landlord, while Kaede is Yukie's daughter. Shinobu from Osaka and Sharen, who works in the Self-Defense Forces, enter this group of people from outside of school.
PS2 production division of labor
PS2 staff member Kei Yoshino designed the characters, Takashi Aki, Shin Takahashi, Minato Otani, and Seri Nirasawa handled the script, Shimazo handled planning, directing, and production. Million Bamboo and Feathered produced the background music, with KIZAWA Studio responsible for the video.
Theme song and character songs from the six volumes
"Dreaming City" is the opening song, and "Summer with You" is the closing song; Both songs were composed and arranged by Satoshi Naritomi, performed by Natsuki Kosaka, with lyrics by Fuko Satsuki and Natsuki Kosaka respectively. The label's original compilation catalog also confirms six volumes of Piece of Peace character songs, corresponding in order to Ten, Kaede, Kikuna, Shiren, Xia Ren, and Yuzuka. Yoichi Sakai's own works further confirm ♥ the composition, arrangement, co-lyricist with Shinichiro Yamashita, and the original volume release record dated September 8, 2006.
