Overview
Arguments are expressed as action battles within the mental world, where moves echo the opponent's personality and identity.
Combat operations were publicly announced in April 2011
Mental combat is conducted one-on-one, using fists and kicks to reduce the opponent's stamina; Attacks turn into background arguments, and players must pay attention to their opponent's words to find their real frustration. The Tiger Man's Agitation is indicated by the face-shaped icon in the lower left corner; hitting attacks increases it; Before losing mobility, you can press L and R for deep breathing simultaneously to reduce irritability. When the icon turns red, you can't move. If you get attacked again, you'll be seriously injured and need to rotate the analog stick to recover.
When the opponent's health drops to a certain level, they enter the "Buchikire" state, deploying Heart Walls around them and unleashing unstoppable, powerful attacks. Players should avoid attacks and take advantage of gaps to damage the Heart Wall; Only after breaking through the wall can you continue to chip down the opponent's health. The opponent may unfold multiple walls; each time you break through the wall and insert a persuasion cutscene, the re-expansion will show a rejection of the Tiger Man cutscene.
When the duel reaches its climax, the opponent shouts out their thoughts, and the player must promptly press the corresponding answer button; Answering correctly is what makes the other person open up.
Scope of application for combat support
The auxiliary function that directly determines battle victory also applies to the final episode. Tomoyuki Matsumoto explained that keeping it was so that players who aren't good at action could read the story's ending; He set the early game difficulty low and increased it later, and suggested buying recovery items in advance for later confrontations.
