Spring and summer at three schools
St. Miatel Girls' Academy, St. Spica Girls' Academy, and St. Rulim Girls' School are located on the hill of Astraea. The game progresses from the first week of April until before summer vacation, where campus interactions and the sports festival jointly participated by the three schools connect about four months of life. By July, the closest person will enter their own exclusive chapter.
Main characters and routes
Three selectable protagonists correspond to nine romantic partners, forming 27 character pairings. The production presentation also introduced 55 different ending modes, each corresponding to different character combinations and story conclusions.
Two narrative perspectives
"Girl mode" lets you experience daily life as the main character, reviewing it through diary entries; "Boy Mode" puts players in the shoes of the protagonist's older brother and learns about school life through emails received. Two approaches change the narrative perspective, keeping the core story consistent.
Selection and on-the-spot reactions
"Angels and demons" turns ideas like restraint, concern for others, and expressing dependence on others into choices; The official statement does not have a fixed correct or false answer. The Panic system changes performances and optional actions in emotionally charged close scenes; successful selection may further trigger Panic UP.
Strawberry Chance
When a chance prompt appears on the screen, players need to decide whether to press R3 or L3. Timely and correct responses will open additional routes; Delayed presses or misjudgments of the bait will result in cumulative failures. Too many failures led to the cessation of opportunities in this round.
Differences in voice acting between games and animations
In the game version, Tamaki is voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro, while in the anime version, Ai Shimizu takes over; Ai Shimizu originally played Kanna. According to the official explanation, due to scheduling conflicts during animation production, Yu Qing's voice acting was rearranged.
Theme song and original soundtrack
The opening theme "Sweetest" is performed by CooRie, with lyrics and composition by rino, and arrangement by Masanori Takumi; The ending theme "Soba ni ni iru yo" is performed by Mai Nakahara, with lyrics and composition by rino, and arrangement by Kaoru Okubo. Lantis released a 25-track album numbered LACA-5558 on September 21, 2006, featuring two complete theme songs and the game's soundtrack.
