Only two days in the world

Kyon is taken to the time of the Kitakao Festival, only to find that what he sees is neither a normal past nor a complete, continuous new world. Mikuru Asahina's adult form explains that this is a 48-hour segment isolated from the previous and following periods. Familiar classmates remain, but in different relationships, investigations must begin with these changes.

Next-generation bookmark

"Dimension Book Marker" allows players to leave a location at story nodes and return to the corresponding time. Clues or items obtained earlier can help open branches that were previously unavailable, so revisiting the same location may yield new results. The gameplay requires comparing information from different experiences and then bringing the gains back to key dialogues.

Conversation and adaptation positioning

The restoration process revolves around interactions with Yuki Nagato, Mikuru Asahina, and others, with time, topics, and clues all possibly affecting the events. The game uses an original story supervised by the animation production committee, picking up the post-movie setting and then developing new events around the Kitakou Festival.

Characters in parallel states

This investigation begins in a world where acquaintances do not know Kyon, and later branches emerge where only Haruhi knows him. Nagato retains both the literary club background and the appearance of an ordinary student wearing glasses. Adult Asahina knows Kyon is from outside and explains the abnormal time fragment as a navigator.

Examples of props in the classroom

Asakura asks Kyon why he was late, and if he doesn't have a suitable certificate, he'll take him back to the classroom. Taniguchi provides the now-unused homemade tram delay certificate; Kyon brought the item back to the original inquiry point and could choose responses that were not available before. This is a concrete example of how Dimensional Bookmark allows the conditions of various routes to be interconnected.

Two platforms and limited combinations

The PS3 and PSP versions were actually released on May 12, 2011, with March 24 originally set for the original date. Yuki Nagato's lost and found, box, includes special images and a 64-page booklet, with the video carriers used separately for each platform: the main disc and UMD VIDEO.

Official reference book

On May 24, 2011, KADOKAWA published a 112-page official reminiscence fanbook, ISBN9784048546317, signed by Bandai Namco. It is a different publication from the 64-page special booklet in the limited set.
