Identity and experience
Lost his left eye six years ago, later fitted with the artificial eye Aiba that houses AI, and uses Psync devices to conduct dream investigations.
Identity and circumstances
Ken Ida is an investigator for the Metropolitan Police Department's ABIS and can use Psync to enter others' dreams. After Iris Zuo'an disappeared, he helped her crack the room's mechanism through the last remaining communications and tracked her location with Hitomi.
Original Switch version: Traveling with Elise
According to Mee6's Switch gameplay records, Date and Iris played rock-paper-scissors at Mazushita Diner; In this round, Iris cast a rock, and Ida wins.
Original Switch version: dakkAI and zugAI
In dakkAI, Ida pulls out Pewter hidden in a cabinet at ABIS and interrogates him with a gun, but is knocked out by Aiba, who is remotely operated by Pewter. Pewter then took Elise away.
During the zugAI process, Date discovers a body at the Shijima residence and instructs Pewter to send forensic personnel. After the Psync device was restored, he entered Yingtai's mother's dream to continue investigating.
Original Switch version: Mizuki's ending
In seisAI, Date first entrusts Mizuki to the Boss to continue investigating, and later finds her inside the home speaker. After entering Sejima's residence, Mizuki knocks down the guards but is captured by Shijima, and Ida is shot in the left eye while protecting her.
Ida was hospitalized and lost consciousness. Rui entered his dream, found and persuaded him, and then he woke up.
In Mizuki's ending, the awakened Date and Mizuki go together to the shrine to pray.
Original Switch version: Eris branch
After choosing not to trust Iris's branch, Ida took her to Mazushimo Cafeteria for protection during the kenzAI process, but Iris escaped from there.
During the ending of Elise, Ida and the rescued Iris leave by car and later head together to the chemical factory. After discovering the prototype Psync device, Iris collapses. Ida places her on the device and performs Psync, and she dies after the dream ends.
Original Switch version: kassAI Final Chapter
In the final chapter of kassAI, Ida reunites with Aiba on Warehouse Street in the Bayshore and joins the dance after Iris and Aiba begin their performance.
Early play: Pod in the freezer
Date and Hina assist in escaping while investigating the pod found in the Okiura Fisheries frozen warehouse. In the dream of an unknown object inside the pod, they see images of Elise being killed in the escape game.
Mind-reading investigations in "Ida Ken"
In "Ida Key," Date and Hitomi use the experimental Wink Psync to glimpse the hidden worries or secrets of the subjects under investigation.
