Stage and beginning
The story is set on Rokken Island, a private island in the Izu archipelago. On October 4, 1986, the Ushiromiya family attended an annual family meeting to discuss the estate of the former head Kinzo; The typhoon prevented 18 people from leaving the island, and telephone and wireless communications also failed. At this time, mysteries surrounding gold and inscriptions, witch letters, and serial murders all combine to form the closed island suspense.
People and reasoning
The internal dispute over the distribution of the Ushiromiya family is the opening interpersonal backdrop, with family members, relatives, and island staff all trapped.
