An encounter in the hospital

When college student Wei Qiuwu visited his ailing father, he met Li Jiayun, who played the hexagonal organ. Outside of visiting patients, their interactions made them friends; He Jia, who came to accompany Jiayun, and Yang Qin, the nurse who cared for her, also joined this daily routine.

Peers in the city

He Jia took two friends on a tour of Nanjing and met different people. Jiayun and Qiu Wu grew closer and closer, and He Jia was like sisters; Later, Yang Qin reveals to Qiu Wu the reality hidden by a peaceful life, bringing new weight to the care between friends.

Multi-threaded narration

The game features different routes and endings, and the developers did not mark any of these choices as absolutely correct. Each ending supplements different aspects of characters and events, so players' choices affect not only the outcome but also their understanding of the story.

Sound and series

Main characters are voiced, the environment is recorded on site, and more than twenty different styles of BGM depict everyday urban life. Magenta Factory released this game on July 27, 2017, officially designating it as the sequel to "Mountain Osmanthus"; He Jia is an important link between the two works.

The past in the diary and the final reading

The story begins with Wei Qiuwu's diary of retrieving Jiayun, leading to several months after their meeting at Mingguang Hospital. Chapter 8 reveals that Jiayun chooses euthanasia. Although previous surgery failed to resolve her condition, she still tries her best to do what she loves and says goodbye to her friends. At the end of Jiayun's route, she leans against Wei Qiuwu, listening to him finish reading the final chapter of the book.

The family Yang Qin relied on

Yang Qin lacked family affection in her childhood; Jiayun's family was like her own home. Jiayun is not only the one she cares for, but also the bond between her and the family; The crying in the final chapter reveals worries beyond everyday life. Her route continues to describe the impact of farewells on those who remain by their side.

He Jia's companionship after learning about it

He Jia learned bad news about Jiayun at Zijin Pavilion and began to be more careful with her words during their interactions. Wei Qiuwu once stopped in front of the hospital, and his friends had concerns when parting. At the end of each route, it also mentions He Jia's adopted new sister, He Zhi.

A prologue to the start again

After clearing the Jiayun or Yangqin routes, entering the game from the Start menu will reveal an extra prologue. This section supplements the previous narrative and, together with the conclusions of the three routes, collectively organizes the overall message.

Original soundtrack repertoire and composition division

Gustav Yu's "Hundred Songs Soundtrack" released on July 28, 2017, includes 26 tracks. On my release page, I credit tracks 3 and 4 as Mengye for 'Afternoon with Jiayun' and 'Autumn's Brisk Steps Remix,' while the remaining original tracks are composed by Gustav Yu; The composers for "Mrs. Judge" and "The Sleeve Garden" are credited to Torlough O'Carolan and William Shakespeare Hays, respectively. Gustav Yu was also responsible for the arrangement, programming, mixing, and mastering of the entire album.

Yangqin nominal singing and instrumental versions

The original soundtrack 14, "Sleeve Garden," is performed by Xian'ge under the name Yang Qin, while track 16 has a separate piano version. The album also includes a piano version of "Ayamiha" and an accordion version of "Wind Whisper, Oriole," listed as separate pieces from the original arrangement.
