Game development
The official ATRI introduction links Frontwing to the Gray Fruit and clearly records that Frontwing and Makuma co-developed the game. The project planning and script were handled by Asta Konno, signed under the Frontwing label.
Division of labor in ATRI
Co-production does not mean that all trades come from the same team. The series also features Yusano and Moto4 responsible for key animation and character design, SCA-Self as art director, Yow as director, and Fumiyuki Matsumoto as music; ANIPLEX. EXE is responsible for fund investment planning and issuance-related responsibilities.
Differences from Frontwing Lab
Frontwing Lab's company profile explains that it was founded in 2018, with businesses covering animation planning, home console and social games, creator management, and localization. The original Frontwing company continues PC game development and sales. The two are related, but the names and company founding dates cannot be interchanged.

The response ATRI received has made Frontwing continue to see demand for PC novel games. The 'GINKA' project team invited Asta Konno, then contacted Yusano; After the latter accepted, this lineup was formed. Director Kazuya explained that if Yusano does not participate, the project will shift to a different project.
From "Lilua and Xiaxia," it uses full HD
In an interview with KANADE, Kazuya said that GINKA players on Steam had expressed a desire to switch to 1080p, but the original 720p looked a bit small on display. As a result, the team adopted full HD starting from "Lilua and Natsuka's Pure Lies," and continued this use in "KANADE."
From planning to script finalization
In a 2025 interview, Kazuya recalled that "KANADE" was finalized in December 2023, and the script took about four months to write. The team also approached Good Smile Company with the script to facilitate cooperation.
Collaboration between production and promotional presentation
"KANADE" is led by Frontwing, with Good Smile Company involved in promotion, events, and the presentation of the work. Both sides exchanged views during cooperation.

The red tower in "KANADE" was transformed from exquisite 3D materials into illustrations. Director Kazuya said the production team also discussed how much the red color of the tower was preserved.
During the production of "KANADE," Frontwing discussed with Good Smile Company which CGs to showcase in the promotion and how to present the contrast between the bright characters and the Honkai world. Kazuya said the other party would offer suggestions that convey the best aspects of the work, with anticipation for the new work.
Character check from Stargazer
According to director Kosuke Murayama, during the 2020 dubbing for "Stargazer," Frontwing staff were present to check if the character's personality deviated from the game; Murayama mainly directed acting and emotions, with both sides dividing the work.
The length and voice arrangement of "Kinsenka."
When Frontwing produced the 2025 PC original "Kinsenka," director molion allowed the script to go beyond the original mid-range and continue writing. Voice settings are handled from the character's perspective: when the character is in their own subjective view, their voice is generally not played; when switched to another person's perspective, necessary audio is retained; Important scenes can be played without viewing angle restrictions, allowing both sides to play dialogue.
