Murder case in District 24

Police suspect that the latest case is related to Kamui Uehara, who assassinated a government official twenty years ago, but the true nature of this person remains unclear. Players are connected to special forces, and as investigations enter the scene, contact personnel, and records, information from different institutions in the city gradually intersects.

People participating in the survey

Detective Tetsugoro Kusabi led a case from twenty years ago, and his partner Sumio Kodai is more reserved. Chizuru Hachisuka solves cases using scientific evidence and data, while Kiyoshi Morikawa is an investigator who has worked with Kusabi for many years. Morichika Nakategawa comes from the Public Security Department and is skilled in cross-departmental communication, mainly directing investigations from headquarters. The experience and responsibilities of these individuals form the division of labor within the police.

Explore the modern version

Operations include first-person scene exploration, searching, and puzzle handling; reading character conversations is an important part of understanding the case. Steam released the modern version launched in 2016; The 1999 PlayStation original was another release milestone. Both revolve around the 24 Districts and the Kamui incident, so version information should be listed separately.

24 district planning and crime agencies

The government's planned 24 districts have led to significant gaps in income, access to information, and social status, leading to resident resistance and increased crime. The Violent Crimes Division not only investigates violent cases, but also regards criminality as a contagious target and has special authority for on-site response. From the player's perspective, the protagonist originally belongs to the Republic's special forces, and through their actions, they enter the area and the interior of the police agency.

Kamui's hospital records

The official profile records Kamui's arrest in March 1979, his admission to IMM Hospital, and his medical treatment as part of his resume. A new round of serial killings began, and after killing the counselor, he fled. Assassination attempts from twenty years ago, industrial disaster witnesses, and cases difficult to handle by law form clues for further investigation.

Founding members and long-term partners

Morikawa was one of the founding members of the Violent Crimes Division and had worked with Kusabi since his days as a local investigator; Sumio is Kusabi's current partner. Former journalist Tokio lost his memory after the Kamui incident, and his experience continued five years later in District 25.
