The lighting effect of white clothing

Shintaro explained in his 2013 film "AN ANGEL'S ARROW" that he emphasized the glowing effect of the white robe and wings to avoid the nearly all-white outfit from appearing monotonous.

A light source and reference material inspired by 'The Fox's Wedding.'

When creating the new print-type work, 'The Fox's Wedding,' Shintaro wanted to balance the dazzling effect of sunlight reflected in the sunlight in his white uniform. Since it was difficult to express both effects simultaneously, he used fictional light sources from illustrations to organize the composition.

The lantern background in "The Fox's Wedding" was inspired by Shintaro's old travel photos. During actual reference, he found that the photos lacked different angles, and the image resolution left by old digital cameras was low, making it impossible to provide sufficient detailed information, so he switched to online searches for supplementary information.

Color calibration and material treatment of "Cocktail."

During the December 2015 Shin-e Festival recording the print production of "Cocktail," the workshop repeatedly fine-tuned the Chinese red to approach the colors envisioned by Shintaro, using special materials to express the sheen of the clothing and socks. To show near and far, the toe highlight at the very front of the image is reinforced with flash materials; Shintaro confirmed the finished product effect during color proofreading.
