Her career as a singer starting from PC 'Junwang'
In a 2021 interview, Minami Kuribayashi recalled that her singing career began when her song was included in the PC album "Kimiga Nomu Eien," and at that time, she did not release a single as a debut. She chose the game's release date, August 3rd, as her debut date as her debut.
Collaborated on stage with Feilan
Minami Kuribayashi and Fei Lan have performed together in Taiwan and Hong Kong, and have also sung 'Tsubasa wa Pleasure Line' together. The two reviewed these collaborations during a 2014 festival conversation.
"clear" starts with lyrics
When producing the 2021 song "clear," Minami Kuribayashi first wrote the melody, then added upbeat lyrics. She hopes this upbeat song will still be easy to listen to, and that the lyrics will unfold with the exhilaration of troubles resolved. This idea comes from her habit of seeking inspiration and recording ideas on her phone.
A pure summer perspective of the song on Xbox 360
The new prologue theme song "first pain" for the 2011 Xbox 360 version of "Muv-Luv" was conceived by Kuribayashi, inspired by Junnatsu's heartbreak during love. She uses familiar game worlds to organize text, expressing the growth that comes with loving someone.
A restrained vocal performance within a bright musical style
To open the new version, the song uses brighter chords while retaining its bitterness. During recording, Kuribayashi carefully controlled the overly cute feeling in his vocals and responded to the song's mood with a calmer singing style.
The creation of "LEAP."
The concept for 2023 "LEAP" was inspired by a tour of 47 prefectures. The production manager suggested that Kuribayashi be responsible for all the lyrics and composition. Initially, she hesitated because she hadn't written songs in one place for a long time, but eventually agreed, completing ten songs within three to four months. She didn't list all the themes in advance, but instead inspired songs from everyday events, with some lyrics borrowing from the experiences of friends and colleagues.
After writing the opening song of the same name, "LEAP," she felt Kotaro Kotaka's string arrangement suited the song and invited him to collaborate.
"Breath of the Stars" came from radio feedback: in the previous year's program, she had sung existing songs a cappella in lullaby, and audience reactions encouraged her to try writing a piece that didn't require tense singing.
"Maron na Ryoyoui" revolves around her feelings with fans of the "Kuri family," with a melody specially arranged for live responses, and h-wonder arranged it accordingly.
The first album written was "Voice Again." She chose it as the tour theme song and conceived the title with the feeling of "hearing her own voice again."
